Sometimes you just want some serious green to liven up a corner or jungle-fy an office. We consider floor plants to be those in 10″ pots or larger. Many of the plants that get tall enough for this purpose are tropical trees, which means they need a lot of light to truly be happy and grow. Want to fill a space that’s dimly lit? Consider installing a grow light! Your big plant will thank you, we promise.

In It For The Long Haul

When you buy a large plant, it’s typically several years old, and has spent all of that time in ideal growing conditions. If you notice a little leaf drop (10 – 15%) in the first few months after purchase, that’s usually completely normal. Plants can’t get up and walk so moving to new places is a big deal for them. Be sure to check your plant for pests every so often and seek out a pot that drains so you can enjoy it for years to come.
